The FMShell is the result of many modules combined into one FileMaker database. Rather than reinventing the wheel every time you start a new project, consider starting your next project with countless hours of work already completed. After all, time is money. Use FMShell, a fast, easy way to consolidate and re-use FileMaker modules.

Open and Unlocked

FMShell requires FileMaker Pro 8.5 or the FileMaker Pro 30 Day Demo. You should know that the demonstration download has the 'Admin' access removed preventing access to the database relationships, tables, fields, and such. You can see several snapshots of the internals below. When you purchase FMShell, you will receive an open, unlocked FileMaker database file. Licensing information is available on the FAQ page. The demo version is partially supported by Amazon.com. When you purchase FMShell we can instruct you how to remove the external link.

Future Features

When you purchase the FMShell, at this time you will be able to download all future versions of the FMShell at no additional cost. That said, if FileMaker dramatically changes how it works, we may need to charge for an upgrade fee. Feel free to submit suggestions as we are very interested in adding additional functionality to the FMShell.

Customizable

The FMShell is fully customizable. We've made it easy to add your own modules to the database. In addition, we've tried to design the modules so they can be integrated into your solution.

If you don't feel comfortable making changes to it, contact us. We're available on a consulting basis for practically any FileMaker related project. We can help customize FMShell or even help to migrate your current database to fit your specific needs.

• US Holidays on Calendar.
• Zipcodes Database which includes the Latitude and Longitude. Can be updated using Web Services.
• Entering a Contacts Zipcode will automatically lookup the Contacts City, State, Country, Latitude, and Longitude.
• Automatic Distance to the Settings Company address to each Contact in the List and Detail layouts. The distance is based on the Contacts ‘Main’ Address.
• Address Correction and Geocoding using Yahoo Web Services.
• Backup method that works on a local database (not running on a remote computer) when the database is closed.
